SMARTTM

Enhance your competitive advantage with the SMART Assessment. The SMART process - Strategic Management Assessment Review Tool - is based on both the Malcolm Baldridge National Quality Award Criteria for Performance Excellence and the Missouri Quality Award. The assessment was designed to provide a comprehensive look at a company’s operations from seven perspectives:

     • Leadership
     • Strategic planning
     • Customer and market focus
     • Information and analysis
     • Process management
     • Business results
     • Human resources development and management

The company receives a set of questions in advance. Individual interviews are then conducted during the SMART site visit. Consultants prepare a detailed follow-up report with recommendations for the company. Call the SBDC Office at 417-836-5685 to begin a SMART assessment of your business.

THINKtegic3, developed by Allegiant Partners, LLC and offered in association with the SBDC, is a product designed with problem solving and planning in mind. THINKtegic3 is a strategic forum designed to help your company deliver business strategies and to search for new innovative ideas. This business tool can help organize your division or your company’s thinking…to better identify, define and execute your intended business strategies. Its purpose is to help companies that are stuck on existing processes consider new thinking and new approaches to growing their business and driving new revenues. The forum concept offers the opportunity to briefly employ outside resources to take a “snapshot view” of your business’ issues and help decide which to focus on. This facilitated forum will help owners and key personnel construct a “strategic audit” and a “critical action plan” for the next 18 months.

An ideal program that can be tailored to successfully address any business issue…whether it's business growth plans, marketing/branding, sales execution, human resources deployment, or new product introductions. For more information, or to schedule a presentation on how THINKtegic3 can benefit your business, contact the Small Business Development Center at 417-836-5685.

Marketing Survey

The Missouri State SBDC can assist businesses with a planned and organized effort to gather facts and help owners/managers make better business decisions. We conduct this primary research through the development of a customized survey of your current and potential customers. The survey can be used to study perceptions, purchasing habits, influences, the feasibility of a new product, and
a variety of other issues specific to the individual business.

Benefits include:
     • Measuring customer satisfaction
     • Finding new customers to increase market share and stimulate demand
     • Finding new products to better serve your customers
     • Understanding your market position and that of your competition
     • Finding new opportunities for growth and expansion

A fee is charged for this service, which is based on the size of the survey and the direct costs involved. A full report is given to the business owner illustrating the responses obtained. A detailed interpretation of the data collected is provided. Contact the SBDC office at 417-836-5685 for a personalized quote and begin your marketing survey today!
